James Burke's Connections

James Burke is my favorite historian of the information age. His approach in writing history as connections of what appear to be disparate events appeal to me. Someone uploaded episode 1, about of the video wherein Burke discusses the concept of the "trigger effect".

Although he did not use the term, what he used as an example in this video appear to me an example of network cascade.

There is a book entitled Connections as well.
